Burjuman is hosting two exciting culinary events of the year, ‘Treat’ – the BurJuman World Food Fest 2013 from May 14th-18th, and BurJuman Junior Chef of the Year from May 19th-25th.
Visitors will be able to enjoy five evenings of masterclasses, live cooking demos, food samples and displays from May 14th-18th.
Treat – The Burjuman World Food Fest 2013 started with master chef and culinary wizard chef Sanjeev Kapoor, performing his live cooking expertise on May 14th.
Chef Kapoor, who has teamed up with the Melia Hotel, Dubai, for his restaurant, Signature, turned up the heat in his inimitable style at the mall’s Teka Chef’s Theatre, taking 12 masterclass participants and the large audience through the intricacies of his innovative fusion Indian dishes. Making the sessions even more enjoyable was his charismatic style of interacting with guests, embellished with anecdotes,witty comments and his trademark charm.
With a series of free masterclasses, cooking demos, audience competitions, exciting rewards and delicious free sampling, Treat – The BurJuman World Food Fest 2013 – offered a wonderful interactive opportunity to dining enthusiasts, aspiring chefs, families and foodies to learn about different aspects of fine dining from leading industry experts.
The Dubai Marriott Hotels gave masterclasses and demos on international cuisine, while the chefs from Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah shared their secrets on Italian cuisine. Chefs from the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, took the guests through a Vietnamese and German menu while the team from the Meliá Dubai demonstrated the intricacies of Indian cuisine. Masterclasses and demonstrations in Arabic food were conducted by chefs from the home-grown Rotana Group.
