Fly Dubai to hire 600 pilots in next 5 years

Flydubai plans to hire 600 pilots by 2016 in a bid to keep pace with its growing fleet and route network. It currently employs more than 200 pilots.

Flydubai last month secured financing worth $80m at list prices with airline leasing company MC Aviation Partners to cover the costs for the B737-800 the airline is due to receive in 2011.

The no-frills carrier flies to 37 destinations.
