du to donate AED 20 to Dubai Cares for every participant in Every Step Counts walkathon.

The event, organized in partnership with Dubai Mall to support Dubai Cares programs, took place on 23 July at 10pm in Dubai Mall. Participating in the event will be the Emirati singing sensation Ambassador-at-Large Hussain Al Jasmi.

For every du customer who registers for the event, du will donate AED20 to Dubai Cares’ School Health and Nutrition Program. This will help children in impoverished communities from around the world, who are prevented from attending school and learning by a lack of proper nutrition and poor health.

du launched Every Step Counts, a nationwide wellness initiative, in July 2013, in line with a speech delivered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai at the latest Government Summit. His Highness stated that the most valuable asset a country has is its people, that health is what gives time its meaning and life its taste, and reflected that success is represented by winning, triumph and excellence.
