Emirates Airline removes fuel surcharge from tickets with immediate effect

Emirates Airline has removed the fuel surcharge on its tickets with immediate effect. This has been done in line with recent decrease in fuel prices.

Emirates had introduced a new fuel surcharge on April 18, citing soaring international fuel prices. Its surcharge made an economy class ticket dearer by between Dh40 and Dh640, depending on the sector of travel.

It is not clear if it will also impact those tickets that have been purchased in advance but not utilized yet.
