Salik Road Toll dropped for Taxi Passengers

axi passengers in Dubai will no longer have to pay the Salik road toll, it has been announced.

The Roads and Transport Authority said the move was part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving taxi services.

Essa Al Dossari, Chief Executive Officer of the RTA’s Public Transport Agency said all taxis will be exempted from toll fees starting from December 2.

He added that even franchised taxi companies will be included in the exemption.

Passengers currently have to pay the Dh4 Salik toll every time they pass under a gate.
