Travellers Beware: Dubai Airport limits hand carry luggage to 10 kgs only

According to some reports, Dubai airport has limited hand carry luggage to 10 Kgs only. Apparently, many passengers were not informed in advance so they had to leave the excess hand luggage before passport control – making the day of those in waiting.

A reddit user reports how he collected the loot consisting of 1 bag of candy, 3 bags of chocolates, around a kilo of nuts, 4 packs of dates, 1 bowl with spoon, 1 small bottle of apple juice, 6 bars of soap, a kilo of raisins while waiting. Airport personnel were weighing each hand carry piece and asking excess of 10 kgs to be removed. As the passengers had already checked in their main luggage, they had no option but to leave the excess weight at the airport – poor them.

But as they say, one person’s loss is another person’s loot.
