Dubai Municipality to open a luxury hotel for pets , and a larger Birds and Pets Market attached to it by March 2014.
The Dubai Municipality announced that the first of its kind luxury hotel for pets in the emirate, and a larger Birds and Pets Market attached to it, will be opened by March 2014.
Director General of the Dubai Municipality Hussain Nasser Lootah made the announcement after reviewing the work of the Dh54.1 million facility in Al Warsan 3, which is triple the size of the existing domestic animal market. The air-conditioned pets’ hotel, being built in an area of 835sqm, is designed to host four-legged guests while their owners are on vacation or away from the country.
It will have dressing and grooming rooms, therapy sessions, laundry services, playgrounds, supervisors and vets. Pet owners will be able to monitor the hotel guests their pets in this case online. The hotel will be on the ground floor, with doors in dog rooms that will allow them to step out into a spacious area.
The hotel which has 30 independent rooms can accommodate 50 dogs at a time. Apart from the pets’ hotel, the market project spread on 50 hectors, includes nine main buildings encompassing an administration block in 695 sqm, a block for auctions in 960 sqm, a clinic block in 418sqm, health quarry in 359sqm and labour accommodation containing 94 rooms for 282 persons.
