Taj Palace Hotel Dubai, the landmark hotel in Deira, cease to exist after 14 years of establishment.
India based Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces will no longer manage the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai bringing an end to a 14-year deal. The Deira property is back in the hands of owners, Juma Al Majid Group, which will rename it the Jood Palace Hotel.
The family conglomerate, with interests in investment, contracting and car sales, recently launched hotel management arm Jood Hospitality, which will manage the rebranded property.
No details were given as to whether the hotel will be refurbished or if any changes to its operational staff will be made.
The exit is Taj owner Indian Hotels Company Ltd’s second in the past year, following the ending of a management contract at Taj Palace Marrakech.
