Visiting Dubai? New Entry Permits to be issued One Month after Exit

Dubai Visit Visa

In a recent revelation by Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs, new entry permits for visitors will be issued one month after they exit UAE.

Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director-General of the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs, recently told the media that, “A visitor needs to get a new entry permit to re-enter the country once he or she leaves the country for any destination. The new entry permit will be issued only after one month from the date the visitor leaves the UAE.”

This means that visitors who have entered UAE and now want to visit neighboring states like Oman or Bahrain and then return to UAE can not do so, as new visas will be issued only after a gap of at least one month.

The rule applies even if the visitors leave the country before the expiry of their entry permits. They have to wait for one month before applying for another entry permit.

Visitors who are interested in frequent entry and exits should take Multiple Entry Visas. These visas are especially suitable for businessmen who are frequent visitors to the UAE and who have a relationship with a reputable company here. A Multiple Entry Visa is valid for six months from the date of issue and costs Dh1,000. However, each visit must not exceed 30 days.

Visit, tourist and transit visas are only for single entry.
