Dubai Doner Restaurant achieved Guinness World Record for largest Mutton Doner

Doner Restaurant in Dubai has achieved a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest doner, vertical rotisserie of mutton.

The rotisserie of meat weighed 468kg with a height of 295cm and a width of 60cm. In an act of goodwill, the meat was distributed among charity organisations in Dubai, feeding more than 3,000 people.

This event took place at the restaurant on Jumeriah 3 Beach Road.

The representative from Guinness Book of World Records measured the meat and the height of its cooking machine in front of the crowds of anticipating people, announcing a new record for Dubai in the world’s most famous book of records.

Rana Abdullah, Doner restaurant owner, said: “It has pleased us to have won this title from the Guinness Book of World Records in the emirate of Dubai which never seizes to amaze people with its unique features, monuments, landmarks and achievements. It is also a pleasure to have grabbed this opportunity to help out with charity in this holy month. I extend my sincerest thanks to the Dubai Events and Promotion Establishment for their support in the success of this event. I cannot help but also thank the efforts of the “Doner restaurant” team, for their faith and dedication to the success of this project and I thank each attendee whose presence has added character in the celebration of this event.”
