Partial Solar Eclipse on January 4 in UAE

Partial solar eclipse can be seen in UAE on January 4, 2011. It will be visible from 12:09pm to 1:32pm in Dubai and with a few minutes difference in other parts of the emirates.

The eclipse will also be visible in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and other countries in the Middle East.

People in many countries in the Europe, Western Asia, Northern Africa, will also witness the eclipse. In Britain the partial eclipse will start at 8:09am and ending at 9:30am.

The solar eclipse takes place when the Earth, Moon, and Sun are aligned and the shadow of the moon falls on the surface of the Earth.
