UAE government has strictly forbade private sector from appointing expatriate women in their public relations sections. In fact, it is not allowed to hire any expat gender as this job will remain restricted to Emiratis only.
The ministry of labour outlined the position at its“open-day” meeting, held every week to consider applications by private sector institutions and workers seeking to shift to another employer under the country’s new labour rules.
Private sector organizations employing more than 100 people are required to have a PR person and it is required to hire an Emirati for that.

It was not long ago when investors across the globe were lured in to Dubai, tempted with life time residence visas for investing in the property market. After sucking billions of dollars worth of investments in unfinished, overrated projects, it was that there is no such thing as a free-lunch, that is, life time residence visa.
Obviously, investors were panicked, especially those who have moved to Dubai with their families, kids going to schools etc., and were trying to settle down. They were told that they have to renew their visas after every six months, going out and coming back to UAE.

The unthinkable has happening. Who would have thought about petrol shortage in UAE? Who would have imagined pumps being closed or struggling with long queues of customers in Dubai and Sharjah? But thats what life is all about, you go up and you come down.
High subsidies leave oil retailers strapped for cash, forcing some petrol stations in Sharjah and Dubai to turn away customers from locked pumps without explanation.
Petrol retailers are having to sell a product for less than they acquired it. Ultimately they will have to get a cash injection. It might have something to do with the government in Dubai dragging its feet too much and not injecting enough money.
